Promotional marketing

All companies, at a certain point, need to implement strategies that allow them to attract potential customers to their products or services. When launching a new product or service on the market, for example, or to reactivate the sale of a product from a catalogue that’s been at a standstill. This can be done in a variety of different ways. When the tool we use to attract customers focuses on a certain stimulus (a prize, a reward), we say that we’re dealing with “promotional marketing”. In order for it to be effective and to be able to get the full benefit of products or services, promotional marketing must comply with a series of basic rules:

1. The stimulus (the prize, the reward offered) must be limited in time.
2. Our potential customer must view the prize as something of value to them.
3. The reward offered must be limited to a certain number of units.

(This is not absolutely essential, and it will depend on the type of response we expect to get, but it is, in some cases, highly recommended)
