Association Helprisingstars
At Yoo, we know the practices associated with our business activity must be focused on the respect, development and evolution of the society in which we operate by adopting measures that favour its growth. But in an increasingly globalised world, social problems are not only those of our immediate surroundings, but extend to regions and places we knew little of before.
Helprisingstars
We believe in the importance of joining other types of activities developed by other organisations that contribute to a significant improvement in the quality of life of communities outside our own.
Accordingly, we’ve started by collaborating with the Helprisingstars Association, a non-profit organisation in Uganda develloping projects that help to improve the lives of children and, therefore, of the entire community in Zambia, in one of the most disadvantaged neighbourhoods in Kampala.
Projects we support
Among those Helprisingstars is involved with, Yoo is supporting projects including the improvement of teaching environments by providing textbooks, school materials, sanitary facilities and ventilation systems in classrooms; as well as the complete development of a teacher training programme, which has the recognition and support of the Ministry of Education and aims to help development in the Kampala area. We also support small projects such as the construction of a small bridge that allows children a dray passage to school in the rainy season.
