Real-time dynamic QRs

Real-time dynamic QRs – taking the use of these information gateways to the next level
QR is already very mature in its use by users. Now it is necessary to take advantage of it. Currently, the QRs are images that users capture to be easily redirected to a web address (url). And it works … everyone uses it and it is indeed very practical from 2 points of view, the first and most important, the ease of use for users who do not have to type a url that may not be short or simple in the browser of their mobile and, on the other hand, to bring the implementation of an action closer to the specific product, the establishment or physical point of sale.
Having overcome this, why don’t we take the use of QR to another level? I mean, since users have become accustomed to using it, why don’t we give its use much more functionality in a way that is transparent to them.
Today, the user reads a QR and a web address opens on his or her cell phone.
How about yes, for example?
The user reads a QR from a store and in November, December and January it takes him to a web page of a Christmas promotion. In February, March and April and May it takes him to a normal web page and in June, July, August we take him to a summer campaign promotion. Or any combination we can think of.
- The QR can be the same all the time, but depending on certain times of the year you launch different sites, campaigns, proposals.
But why don’t we go further?
The user reads a QR and the first 1,000 times we make it jump to a page and, from 1,001, it jumps another page to the users who scan it.
- Or even how about if every time a QR is read, we make the user enter a sweepstakes and, in real time, the system tells them if they have a prize or not and takes them to a prize or non-prize page.
- Or even further, why don’t we do the following: if the user has won a prize, we send him a unique prize QR via SMS that he could show at a point of sale or redemption of that prize. With these systems we would make the process of using that QR (“burning a QR”) so simple that the point of sale worker reads the QR of the user’s prize with his cell phone and can automatically tell him things like: it has already been used, it corresponds to such prize, etc. etc. and launches him to a page where he confirms that he has been given the prize that corresponds to him and therefore that prize QR is canceled for future times.
In Yoo we have QRS platforms that allow us to do these variants discussed and many others. The way in which the promotional dynamics are combined with the different behaviors that can be given to the scanning of a QR depending on the use, time, X factors, is what will allow us to mount dynamics of participation more functional and rich in information. .
